Super Bowl Stories; Bobby & Eddie in New Orleans and Amy’s Psychic

Bobby Bones and the 25 Whistles crew spent 5 days down in New Orleans, Louisiana for the Super Bowl.

While they had some fun moments together, Bones admitted that New Orleans just isn’t his city. He likes the people there, but thinks part of it has to do with all of the spicy food. He can’t ever eat anything in New Orleans since he doesn’t like spicy food, and he had a particularly bad food experience this time. He got to present at the NFL Honors live show, but when Bones and Eddie left the show they were starving. He asked their driver where to go for food since the city was so packed, and he took them to a spot that he highly recommends. It was a small gas station, but the driver insisted they order a Muffaletta sandwich from that specific spot. They were so hungry, so they just rolled with it, but it ended up getting Bones really sick. He couldn’t eat for 48 hours after consuming it because he was hurting so bad.

Eddie also had an awkward Uber situation while in New Orleans. He ordered and Uber, but when the ride arrived there was to-go food containers everywhere. The driver then proceeded to push all of the takeout containers out of the car and into the street in front of Eddie. He was shocked and asked if they were just leaving the trash there. The driver said yes, that’s where the trash goes and told him to get in. Bones also admitted it was awkward seeing Bill Belichick and his young girlfriend at a few events. He felt it was even more strange in person, they just looked like a grandpa and grand kid.

There were some good moments. Mike D got to see Post Malone perform twice, he went to his concert the night before and witnessed Emmet Smith jamming. The whole crew then went to Post Malone’s pre-Super Bowl concert. Also back home in Nashville, Amy was watching the game waiting to see if her psychic prediction came true and it did. She predicted the Eagles were going to win before they even made it to the big game. So, Amy may actually have some psychic powers.

As for the Halftime show, Bones and Eddie said the performance is really made for TV, not as much for those in the arena. They didn’t know it was Samuel L. Jackson besides seeing him on the jumbotron. People did freak out over SZA coming out, and everyone did sing the “A minor” part of Lamar’s song together. Eddie also witnessed a protestor pull out a flag while on stage for the performance, they also saw the protestor get tackled from behind.

The guys ended up leaving 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter since it was such a blowout game, they had to get on a flight back to Nashville and not get stuck in any of the Super Bowl traffic.
