 Accounting : What the Numbers Really Mean

At this lunch and learn, we would like participants to walk away with an understanding of the three primary financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss statement, and cash flow statement) and be able to build these statements for their own business. This lunch and learn will look more like a class setting than previous iterations. There are several parts that play towards the understanding of and ability to create these statements. Here is a list of the topics that will be discussed at this Lunch and Learn:

• Basic accounting terminology
• Comparison of cash vs. accrual accounting methods
• Explanation of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements, with practical examples
