Bobby Bones Admits Recent Sporting Event That Made Him Cry

Bobby Bones posed the question to The Bobby Bones Show, is it weird when men cry watching sports?

He shared a study from the University of Michigan that found a surprising number of people cry when they watch sporting events like The Super Bowl because people empathize with the players, coaches, and other fans while thinking back to emotions they experienced when playing a particular sport. The research also shows that people absorb the emotions of sporting events and get drawn in much like a good movie with heart wrenching scenes.

Bones admitted that he did cry when the Chicago Cubs won the World Series back in 2016 because that was a huge deal for him as a lifelong fan. That was really the last time he cried, until recently. He was watching WWE’s Royal Rumble and it was John Cena’s last match ever. If Cena won, he would go on to Wrestlemania. Bones was a little emotional already for the fact it was Cena’s last time, but he assumed that Cena would win and go on to compete in Wrestlemania. However, he was shocked when Cena lost. That’s what made Bones tear up thinking about how Cena knew this was going to happen and instead of winning, he did something better for his competitor and teammate. The moment had tears rolling down Bones face. Lunchbox chimed in saying he’s a goober for crying over a scripted wrestling match and Bones should scrape this admittance from the Internet.
