Sometimes Bobby Bones likes to play the long game with some jokes and have listeners participate in them.
He posted a video of him at a Weezer concert where he pans to the lead singer Rivers Cuomo and claims Cuomo is his father. Many people believed him, even one of his good friends thought it was true. However, Bones set the record straight that Cuomo is in fact not he father, but he has been compared to him over the years so he made the video as a joke.
Another joke that Bones let listeners in on was the building of his pickleball court. Last year, Bones really wanted a pickleball court so he claimed that he and Eddie built one in his backyard. He posted many videos and photos showing them working on the court, however if listeners recall at the beginning of the build he let them all in on the joke that he wasn’t actually building it. He hired someone to do the build, but listeners would comment on the posts congratulating them on all their work further fueling the rumor they built it.
Bones noted that the rumor he wasn’t in O-Town is false, he was in fact in O-Town when they first started the band. They will be reuniting at the Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots Million Dollar Show for St. Jude in March.
