Dylan Scott and Dylan Marlowe stopped by the Bobby Bones Show to talk about their collaboration “Boys Back Home.”
Marlowe is the one who wrote the song “Boys Back Home” and he asked Scott to be on it. Marlowe thought it would be a great idea to do the song together and have two Dylans on a song together. When they originally wanted to put the song out, it wasn’t the best time because Marlowe didn’t have a team behind him like he does now. Marlowe had also never put a song out to country radio before so this being his first experience with Scott was special for him. He did recall a song he had doing well that they had intended for radio, but then they pulled it last minute so he thought any country radio song was going to be impossible for him. Not only was it Marlowe’s first time to radio, but it was also the first time he went viral. Scott is also the first one to take Marlowe on the road with him. So they’ve shared a lot of Marlowe’s firsts together.
Scott has taught Marlowe not to take things too seriously and that touring should be fun. On one of the tour days while taking a shower, Scott pranked Marlowe by dumping 2 gallons of salsa on him. Beyond the pranks and having fun, Marlowe learned from Scott a lot about the road life and how to stay in shape while constantly touring. Scott added that he always wants people to have a good time when he’s on tour whether it’s fans or his team. Fans are still screaming back his first number 1 song he had at 25-years-old, “My Girl.”
Marlowe heads out on his own tour in 2025 and he’s excited to play his new music live. So far they’ve been going crazy for his “Back To December” cover and of course his collaboration with Scott “Boys Back Home.”
Watch the Dylans perform “Go Tell It On The Mountain,” which is a public domain song so the Bobby Bones Show could also add it to their podcast for listeners.
