Amy’s daughter rear ended someone in her driveway.
Normally, there isn’t another car in their driveway, however this time there was as her daughter was leaving for work. She didn’t see it, and bumped into the other car leaving a small dent. Amy didn’t anticipate there would be a big price tag for such a small dent, but she was wrong. Since all of the new cars have sensors and technology throughout the whole car, fixing this dent in a new Toyota Camry came with a price tag of $8,000.
Amy’s plan originally was to have her pay for it out of pocket with her work paychecks, but once they got that price tag Amy realized it would take her at least a year to pay it off. So they filed with their insurance and her daughter has to pay the deductible as well as whatever monthly increase happens on their insurance.
