If you follow Carly Pearce, Kelsea Ballerini, or Maren Morris on social media, you’ve probably noticed the three sharing photos with one another quite frequently. Although the girls have similar goals in their music career, they’ve chosen friendship and camaraderie over competition.
Pearce recently opened up about how grateful she is for the close friendship she shares with Morris and Ballerini. “Those girls have walked every situation that I’ve walked and there’s just a sisterhood there. Most people don’t understand because you haven’t lived what we live and you can’t really ask certain people questions. But for them, we can all bond over what we deal with as female artists in the industry. And it’s just nice to feel like you’re not alone sometimes.”
Ballerini and Morris who are both married to other country artists (Morgan Evans and Ryan Hurd), is another way is another big way Pearce is able to bond with them as she ties the knot with Michael Ray soon.
The “Closer To You” singer has been open about some of the challenges she’s faced as a female artist in country music. Though there are times of total frustration, she chooses to remain positive.
Pearce shared with PopCulture, “When a woman hits, she hits big. I think that finally people like Maren, and Kelsea, and myself, and Lindsey [Ell] are showing country radio very authentically that women want to hear women. Women can work. Women can hang with the big boys. They can go on the road with them. They can sell out shows, too.”
“Look at Kelsea doing a headlining tour where Brett Young [was] her opening act,” she continued. “If that’s not a large statement for women everywhere, I don’t know what is. I think we’re doing just fine, and I think you’re going to see a lot more girl power going on.”
It’s no surprise that these ladies are taking country music by storm. Their talent, grit, hardwork, and support of each other is something that can’t be stopped. Pearce is out on the road all summer opening up for Jason Aldean on his“Ride All Night Tour” alongside Kane Brown.
