A group of official content creators for GoPro were kayaking off the coast of Kaikōura near New Zealand when the unexpectable happened.
They were watching a seal have a tussle with an octopus and then all of the sudden the seal comes out of the water with the octopus in his mouth and slaps one of the kayakers with it. Thankfully for their GoPros, the whole incident was captured on video.
This throw at the kayaker seemed to be the end of the tussle between the two animals. Shortly after the octopus was detached from the man, it clung onto his kayak. Then the two animals swam off in different directions.
