My 600-lb Life show star Lisa Fleming has passed away, as per a new report from TMZ.
On Friday (August 24), the celebrity gossip website reported that Fleming died on Thursday. Despite the fact that she was 700 pounds, her daughter Danielle said that her death had nothing to do with her weight. In fact, she had lost 200 pounds after appearing on the show and was able to stand on her own. According to the outlet, Danielle said she was sick before appearing on the series and the illnesses took a toll on her body.
“I am truly at a loss for words right now. God knows I wanted you to hold on until I got here but He knew what was best for me,” Lisa also wrote in a tribute post on Facebook. “I didn’t need to see you like that! This morning I sat and held your hand for 4 hours knowing nothing I could’ve done would bring you back to me. Anybody who knows me knows I gave my mother my ALL! She was my world and I was her #NumberOneGirl ❤Mommy, I love you from here to the stars and back! Those babies loved you even more. I’m happy you’re no longer in pain and stuck in that bed. Y’all pray for me, check on me, come see about me because I am not ok! I love my mama & I wouldn’t wish this pain on my worse enemy.”
Lisa appeared on Season 6 of the show, which aired in February. During her episode, she revealed that her battle with her weight started as a child and got significantly worse after she witnessed her brother’s murder. It was a tough broadcast to catch, considering she was bedridden and needed seven paramedics to remove her from her bed. Additionally, she found maggots in the folds of her skin. Word of Fleming’s passing arrives just weeks after another show star, L.B. Bonner, who once weighed over 600 pounds, committed suicide after shooting himself in the head in a park.
