Owl-O-Ween

Families are invited to make a reservation and explore the world of owls and other raptors while trick- or- treating.

Costumes are encouraged!!


Black Hills Raptor Center volunteers will be on site with candy, activities, and education birds for participants to meet.

Families can go Trunk- or- Treating, dissect owl pellets, make an owl related craft, take family photos in our autumn display, enjoy a scavenger hunt, and play raptor themed corn hole for kids.


There will be two new ambassador owls for people to meet, plus owls from Falconry and Raptor Education group.


Participants can also stop by the treatment center and take a tour.

The building is under construction, and you can see the progress.

There also be will be hot chocolate, coffee, and a cookie for every child.


Reservations are required to help us keep the numbers of people on site manageable.

The event is free, with a free will donation encouraged, or donation of a roll of painter’s tape, a box of fold over sandwich bags, or a bottle of unflavored pedialyte.

Make your reservations now for one of 5 opportunities on Saturday, October 26.

The first group will start at noon, and the final group for the afternoon will be at 4pm.

Each group is limited to 100 people.
