Rev it up for Kool Deadwood Nites in Historic Deadwood!
New in 2024 will be an additional day added to the excitement. Beginning Tuesday, August 20, and ending Sunday, August 25, 2024, Kool Deadwood Nites will be action-packed from start to finish.
Kool Deadwood Nites spans a total of six days this year, bringing car lovers together for an event full of classic cars, classic music, and classic fun.
That’s six nights of live, world-class entertainment – and four concert nights are completely free and open to the public.
It’s a true sock hop – Deadwood style. Enjoy the region’s best classic car show, including a parade, show-and-shine, and FREE concerts on Deadwood’s Historic Main Street. Organizers are planning to start the event a day earlier than previous years, on Tuesday, August 20, with classic car registration, activities for car owners, and live entertainment.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 23:
- 7 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.: Rod Run Breakfast at TBD – Free for registered car owner’s only,three shifts available, pick your time at Registration, first come, first served.
- 7 a.m. – 8 p.m: Car Registration at Deadwood Welcome Center, 501 Main Street
- 9 a.m: Classic Car Auction – Held in the Deadwood Mountain Grand Event Center. Call McPherson Auction at 605-348-1369 for more info.
- 10 a.m. – 2 p.m: 16th Annual Rod Run – Registered classic cars only. Two options (departing from the Days of ’76 Rodeo Grounds), choose from an escorted tour through Spearfish or Vanocker Canyon. Vanocker itinerary includes time at the Sturgis Dragway running the track, sponsored by TBD. The Spearfish Canyon route includes a final stop at Carsten’s Cottages. They will have food and drinks available when you arrive. Both Rod Runs leave from the Days of ‘76 Rodeo Grounds at 10:00 a.m. and lineup begins at 9:00 a.m.
