The Rapid City Arts Council presents Word4Word, a poetry slam event on Thursday, October 26 at 7pm in the Bruce H. Lien Cultural Café at the Dahl Arts Center.

Spoken Word is a powerful art form that includes poetry, storytelling, rhyme, and performance. Primarily shaped through personal experience about individual, social, and cultural concerns, spoken word can be intensely personal, yet relatable; and can be understood both on an individual and collective level.

We invite all spoken word artists, authors, readers, reciters – and their listeners – to show up, sign up, and perform. Each participant will be called up on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be given up to 7 minutes to recite or read. All ages are welcome. Cash bar available. Word 4 Word is held in the Bruce H. Lien Cultural Café at the Dahl Arts Center. Please use the Kansas City Street entrance.
