No School Days at the Downtown Library: Leopards and Monkeys and Bears, Oh My!

Wondering what to do on a day with no school? We have you covered! Learn about wild animals, enjoy a craft and take in a movie at the downtown library (610 Quincy Street), Monday, October 9 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

11 a.m. – Shaunda from Bear Country USA educates children on our animal friends living in the Black Hills and of course the bears at Bear Country USA! Children can handle museum-quality items from Bear Country USA.

12 p.m. – Craft a bear mask or 3D snow leopard all while introducing your child to great animal facts and habitats of animals living around the world.

1 p.m. – Disneynature’s “Born in China” will dazzle you with extraordinary images of the wilds of China. Narrated by John Krasinski, the film follows three animal families living in some of the most extreme environments on Earth, capturing an intimate portrait of the majestic panda, the savvy golden monkey and the elusive snow leopard.

Popcorn and beverages will be served. (Rated G)
