Aerial footage of a car wreck on a busy Illinois highway shows a group of good Samaritans working together to flip an overturned pickup truck to rescue the driver trapped inside. Chopper footage taken by ABC Chicago station WLS shows the moment a tire on a Ford ranger blew causing it to spin out of control onto it’s roof.
Nearly a dozen strangers rushed over to the vehicle to help the driver; they were able to flip the vehicle onto it’s side before a firefighter who was driving by stopped to help. Tom Meyers, full-time firefighter, used tools from a nearby construction site to smash the windshield and cut the drivers’ seat belt. The group cheered when they extracted the driver from the vehicle and he wasn’t seriously injured!
